Every Step Counts is the theme of a new series of free, downloadable SRTS marketing materials focused on the benefits of walking and bicycling to school and what motivates parents to consider making that choice.* School zone safety, including speeding and distracted driving, will be another focus of the campaign.
Use these materials to reach parents at the local and/or national level to support SRTS efforts in any stage of development — from new programs to mature programs that are already agents of change. Are you looking for an image for a community newsletter or a take-home SRTS flyer for students? Do you need new materials for your organization's Web site?
The first marketing piece in the Every Step Counts series is available now for download and can be used without restriction, www.saferoutesinfo.org/resources/
Additional marketing materials focused on the following SRTS benefits will be introduced in the next few months:
The National Center is working with existing national partners to co-brand and place these advertisements. Please contact Caroline Dickson, communications and marketing manager, for more information.
*The parent-focused messages are being developed in collaboration with a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant awarded to the Department of City & Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina.
