Personal Security and Safe Routes to School

Concerns about children's personal security can sometimes serve as a roadblock to developing a Safe Routes to School Program. What are the personal security issues that children may face when walking to school? Which issues are real problems and which ones are perceptions? How can parents and school communities address these concerns? This webinar presents an overview of personal security issues and statistics as well as strategies to address these issues. The webinar also provides information on anti-bullying programs and share one school's first-hand experience in tackling bullying issues.
